A calm, supportive space to work through anxiety and regain control

For some people, in-person therapy simply feels better. Sitting in the same room, having a dedicated place to slow down, and stepping away from daily distractions can make it easier to focus and open up.

I offer in-person therapy in North Attleboro, Massachusetts for adults and teens (16+). Sessions take place in a quiet, private office designed to feel calm, comfortable, and grounded. Many clients choose in-person therapy because it helps them feel more connected, present, and supported as they work through anxiety, OCD, panic attacks, phobias, or the effects of past experiences.

Specialized, face-to-face therapy for anxiety, OCD, panic attacks, phobias, and trauma

Who in-person therapy is a good fit for

In-person therapy may be especially helpful if you:

  • Feel more comfortable face-to-face rather than talking through a screen
  • Struggle with anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, phobias, or trauma-related symptoms
  • Want a dedicated space outside of home or work to slow down and focus on yourself
  • Feel more grounded when you are physically present in the room with your therapist
  • Prefer structured, active therapy rather than open-ended or purely supportive talk

Some clients also appreciate building a routine around therapy, such as a quiet drive, a walk, or a pause between sessions and returning to daily life.

Specialized in-person therapy for anxiety, OCD, phobias, and trauma

I specialize in treating anxiety-related conditions, including OCD, panic disorder, social anxiety, specific phobias, and trauma. My approach is practical, collaborative, and focused on helping you understand what is keeping symptoms going and how to change those patterns in a lasting way.

In-person sessions may include exposure-based therapy, cognitive strategies, and EMDR. For many people, anxiety or phobias are connected to past experiences of fear, embarrassment, or feeling unsafe. EMDR can help process those experiences so they no longer trigger the same intense reactions in the present.

Therapy is not about forcing you to relive distressing moments. It is about helping your nervous system learn that you are safe now, and giving you tools to respond differently when anxiety shows up.

Taking this step toward change today can lead to a brighter future tomorrow

How in-person therapy can help

Clients often come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or afraid that symptoms will never fully improve. In-person therapy can help you:

  • Better understand how anxiety, panic, OCD, or trauma responses operate in your mind and body
  • Learn how to respond to symptoms without reinforcing fear, avoidance, or self-doubt
  • Gradually face situations you have been avoiding, at a pace that feels manageable and supportive
  • Reduce the intensity and frequency of panic attacks, intrusive thoughts, or trauma-related reactions
  • Process past experiences using approaches like EMDR, so they no longer trigger the same fear, shame, or distress in the present
  • Rebuild confidence, trust in yourself, and a sense of safety in your daily life.

Over time, many clients notice they are spending less energy managing symptoms and more energy living their lives.

In-person vs. virtual therapy

Both in-person and virtual therapy can be highly effective. The best option depends on what helps you feel most comfortable and engaged.

Some clients prefer in-person therapy for the sense of connection and structure it provides. Others choose virtual therapy for flexibility and convenience. If you are unsure which format is right for you, you can explore my Virtual or In-Person Therapy page to compare options, or start a conversation during a consultation.
